Spectacular Location
The hotel is well situated. Well trained and welcoming staff.
Breakfast buffet OK....but need some variety.
Front desk staff and Executive lounge Staff were terrific.
Hallways and rooms desperately need updating. Carpet is a disgrace.

Just had a truly Wonderful Stay at the Rio JW Marriott on Copacabana!
Overall I was very impressed by the JW Marriott in Rio on Copacabana Beach. It is centrally located, with easy access to the sights throughout Rio. It was both a very safe and secure hotel. The service was very good and the staff extremely polite. The executive lounge was excellent as was their breakfast and the meal preparations throughout the day & evening. The beds were extremely comfortable and AC worked just fine. The property was keep immaculate at all times. Their section of Copacabana Beach was also kept clean and neat, with both Umbrella's, chairs and towels provided - when you arrive on the Beach in their designated area. I would highly recommend using the JW Marriott when visiting or vacationing in Rio. I know I will, when I return to Rio!

Best hotel stay ever.
I made a mistake. I accidentally booked the president suite. The staff corrected the issue immediately, and ended up upgrading me to a very nice suite. Great experience, lovely hotel, amazing staff. Will only stay here when I come back.

Very Dirty rooms, and cheap bed and linens
Don't stay at this hotel unless they upgrade the beds, pillows, and bed sheets. Bed sheets they use are likely the cheapest they can find. Staff at hotel are excellent, but rooms need work. They smell and are dirty. I was shocked to see this in a JW Marriott.

Not maintenance
I found that hotels in brasil are really bad, but I wasn’t expecting it for a JW Marriott
Because I am a platinum member for bonvoy, I got a small suite, but I couldn’t believe how old the mattress is and have a curve on one side of the bed, that really don’t aloud to sleep in that side of the bed
I just try to go the gym. It is an oven, the gym is in the sun roof, it has not air conditioner working, it is over 30 C
I am not coming back to this hotel and I am not recomending it
